Sarcoidosis Treatments-Natural Treatments For Sarcoidosis
Sarcoidosis begins with inflammation that produces clumps of cells in various organs of the body called granulomas. These granulomas can grow and amalgamate, forming larger groups that can seriously affect the normal function of the organ concerned, thus causing symptoms to occur. The organs affected can be almost anywhere in the body, although frequently the lungs or lymph nodes are first to show signs of the disease. Other organs that can be affected are the eyes, skin, liver, spleen, nerves, brain and heart. Some critical organs there, highlighting just how serious the disease can be.
Sarcoidosis can sometimes be mild and the symptoms disappear relatively quickly, even without treatment, but in other cases, it can get progressively worse and over time, can cause irreparable organ damage. Unfortunately, the cause of the disease is unknown. Differing opinions as to the cause, range from an overreaction of the immune system to a foreign substance, to some medical people believing that an hereditary factor is involved.
Interestingly, some sufferers display no symptoms at all, with the disease only being discovered by accident when undergoing treatment for other illnesses. Of course, the symptoms depend upon which organ is affected, For example, lung sarcoidosis will manifest itself through shortness of breath, dry cough and wheezing, more obvious to all. Diagnosis usually involves thorough analysis of medical history, physical examinations and several tests. These tests can include chest x-rays, blood and lung function tests, electrocardiograms and magnetic resonance scans. Biopsies may also be performed to examine cells and tissue under a microscope.
As already mentioned, treatments for sarcoidosis depend on the severity of the attack, and also the organs that are affected, particularly if the more critical organs are involved.
The more traditional of the sarcoidosis treatments is prednisone, a corticosteroid or anti-inflammatory drug. Treatment with this drug can often last for one or two years. However, this considerably raises the risk of causing serious side effects. With prolonged high dose usage, prednisone can cause serious side effects such as diabetes, high blood pressure, depression, heartburn, osteoporosis, cataracts, glaucoma and affect hormone production.
Obviously, treatment from a sarcoidosis specialist would be the ideal scenario. If this is not possible, maybe a wise course of action would be to see a specialist in the organs affected by your sarcoidosis, in order to co-ordinate with your own medical team to formulate an effective treatment plan.
A great deal of research is currently being carried out, looking at ways to improve diagnosis and sarcoidosis treatments, including the use of drugs specifically intended for use in other diseases, and studying the involvement of genetics in the disease.
What everybody agrees however, is that if you do suffer from the disease, steps should be taken lead and maintain a healthy lifestyle. This includes not smoking, avoiding harmful chemicals, taking exercise and following a healthy diet.
This lifestyle change philosophy forms the basis for one of the most successful natural treatments for sarcoidosis. The Aden Protocol, has gained an impressive record for inducing sarcoidosis remission, verified by global evidence from system users.
By following this system, the risk from potentially dangerous drugs can be eliminated and remission, or at least massive improvement, can be achieved- naturally.

Skin Sarcoidosis-Treating Sarcoidosis Of The Skin Naturally
Although the cause of sarcoidosis is not evident, there are several theories as to the reasons behind the contraction of the disease. Many in the medical profession believe that it occurs following an overreaction of the immune system to the ingress of toxins or bacteria, whilst others believe that there is a hereditary factor involved.
Skin sarcoidosis usually shows itself as lumps or ulcers, mostly on the legs, back, scalp and arms, but can also affect areas around the nose or eyes. Sadly, these manifestations can last a long time.
A severe skin condition called lupus pernio may also occur as a result of sarcoidosis. This can be a disfiguring condition, inducing sores that can affect the ears, nasal passages, eyelids, cheeks and fingers, Once again, this can be extremely difficult to remove.
Depending upon the severity of the symptoms displayed, initial sarcoidosis treatment usually involves prescribing corticosteroids, very strong anti-inflammatory drugs. A great deal of care needs to be exercised however, as lengthy use of these drugs can lead to dangerous side effects such as diabetes and osteoporosis.
If sarcoidosis of the skin has been confirmed, an essential part of the overall treatment is to pursue a healthy lifestyle, which should include exercise and a healthy diet.
Much progress has been made in the alternative treatment field, resulting in promising news for all skin sarcoidosis sufferers. The Aden Protocol has been introduced, and proved to be highly successful , inducing sarcoidosis remission at an outstanding 82% success rate. An obvious bonus to this system is the fact that it is totally natural, completely negating the need for potentially life threatening drugs.
