Sarcoidosis Lung- Treating Sarcoidosis Of The Lungs Naturally

Sarcoidosis of the lungs arises after the formation of tiny, microscopic grain-like cells within the lungs called granulomas. These will cause lung problems especially when they amalgamate to form lumps. The normal pattern of sarcoidosis lung consists of two stages, an active and a non-active stage.

In the active stage of sarcoidosis lung, the granulomas will continue to grow, with symptoms possibly more evident and in some cases may lead to the formation of scar tissue in the lungs.

In the non-active stage of sarcoidosis lung, any inflammation will subside and the granulomas will either remain the same size or reduce in size.

If sarcoidosis lung symptoms do develop, they may appear in a variety of different ways. Examples of these could be:
  • Shortness of breath
  • Wheezing
  • Chest pain
  • Dry, persistent cough
However, in some instances, sarcoidosis lung will take a mild form, with inflammation and the size of granulomas improving unaided, with perhaps only an occasional sarcoidosis flare.

As there is no known cure for sarcoidosis of the lungs, anti-inflammatory drugs, such as prednisone, are the current method used for treatment. As with many drugs, continued use can often lead to dangerous side-effects. In this case, side-effects such as high blood pressure, glaucoma, diabetes and osteoporosis may ensue.

Obviously, the preferred method of treatment would be to avoid drugs altogether. Although the actual cause of sarcoidosis lung is unclear, a great deal of productive research has been carried out within the natural, alternative treatment field, leading to the rise of new treatment plans. One such plan is The Aden Protocol.

Following many years of worldwide trials, results have shown that many people who complete the course either gain full remission or gain significant improvement. With it now being available in a downloadable e-book form, the chance for sarcoidosis lung sufferers to lead a much more normal life is within easy reach.

Sarcoidosis Diet Plan- Food Items We Should Avoid During Sarcoidosis

Following the right sarcoidosis diet plan is vital to lessen the risk of chronic inflammation and ease sarcoidosis symptoms, so knowing which food items we should avoid during sarcoidosis is key.

With present day tendencies towards fast food due to the frantic lifestyle that many people lead, it is not surprising that inflammatory diseases are increasing, providing as people do, the environment in which they will flourish.

In order to reverse this trend, lifestyle, as well as diet changes would be the ideal way to return to good shape. Lifestyle changes could be as simple as relaxation, or the not so simple stopping smoking! Much easier would be to make diet changes.

Foods to avoid include:

Red meat

• Full fat cheeses

Trans fatty acids

• Deep fried foods

Sugar products

• White flour

Excessive alcohol

Making these changes to diet and lifestyle is so much more preferable to drugs, which of course may help in the short term to alleviate the symptoms, but are extremely dangerous with prolonged use.

The best option is prevention by majoring on these diet changes, focussing on the food items we should avoid during sarcoidosis.
